Jaren Pierce
Architectural Designer
Iowa State University
Raised in rural Iowa, Jaren grew up around the sights and smells of tiny railroad towns and family farms. He was around construction with his family business and learned the skills of the trade throughout his grade school and college years. This guided Jaren into pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Minor in Entrepreneurship from Iowa State University.
Jaren’s time at ISU served as a big step into his educational and personal growth as an architectural designer. The program provided opportunities to travel across the United States for class and spend the semester abroad in Italy, visiting Austria, France, and Spain. The architectural significance of these countries inspired Jaren to develop a deeper understanding of building design and construction and the impact it has on user experience throughout history.
After studying abroad, Jaren jumped right into his first opportunity with the OneFourTwo Design Group team in Houston, Texas as an Architectural Intern. He collaborated with the team from across multiple offices during the summer. This provided him with a wealth of knowledge and excitement to step into the real world of architecture.
After graduation, Jaren finds himself once again in the Houston office, now officially an Architectural Designer for OneFourTwo Architecture. While moving from a town of less than 1,000 to a metro of over 7,000,000, he has plenty to do and see in the city. His hobbies range from being active to volunteering and competing in demolition derbies!
