Expand Production Without Stopping the Line

La Chiquita needed added production, packaging, and warehousing capacity - plus a cold dock and office space - while coordinating complex production lines for mixing, baking, frying, and cooling. All of it had to happen without disrupting the existing facility's continuous production.

A Durable, Hygienic Production Environment

We built the 44,700 SF addition with concrete tilt-up wall panels, steel roof framing, and a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roof for durability and energy efficiency. Inside, insulated metal panel (IMP) walls and a walkable IMP ceiling in the production areas pair with cementitious urethane concrete coating and polished concrete floors for a durable, hygienic surface. New utility services - domestic water, sanitary sewer, and electrical upgrades - along with natural gas, cold water, hot water, and power connections were integrated to support the production equipment, backed by a 1,500-gallon grease interceptor and 3,000-amp electrical service for the added capacity.

Expanded Capacity, Zero Downtime

The completed addition expanded La Chiquita's production, packaging, and warehousing capacity while the existing facility remained fully operational throughout construction - enhancing production efficiency with seamless integration of the new systems and utilities.

Delivering design without asterisk.

In a world where promises often come with exceptions, limitations, and fine print, we believe great design should not. We approach every challenge with a commitment to delivering the best possible outcome, not the easiest one. No shortcuts. No hidden surprises. No asterisk.
