Culpeper DC needed a multi-building data center campus capable of delivering 240 MW of capacity, powered by an onsite substation and water source, while giving tenants a refined sense of arrival at every building entrance.
We led master planning, data center building programming, and conceptual design and visioning for the Culpeper, VA campus in 2023, sizing two multi-story buildings for 96 MW of capacity each and a single-story building for 48 MW. Frameless curtain walls and large-format ACM panels create a refined, welcoming arrival for tenants at every building entrance.
The result is a conceptual master plan for Culpeper DC, a 240 MW data center campus positioned to scale from onsite power and water infrastructure to a tenant arrival experience worthy of the mission-critical work happening inside.

The design-build process has fundamentally redefined the modern architectural practice. Historically, the architectural world operated on standard segregation: design first (Architect), bid second (Owner/Contractor), build third (General Contractor).
Over more than two decades of planning manufacturing, distribution, industrial, commercial, and other complex facilities, I’ve learned that successful projects are rarely defined by the building alone.
